The best night cream for oily skin in Bangladesh is a light, oil-free gel, and the one to start with is Dot & Key CICA Calming Night Gel at ৳675, made for oily, sensitive and acne-prone skin. For active breakouts, The Derma Co 1% Salicylic Night Gel at ৳1,190 does more. For acne marks and rough texture, a retinol cream such as RE’ EQUIL 0.3% at ৳799 is the step up.
Only four night creams on Orpa’s shelf are genuinely right for oily skin, so this guide lists four rather than padding the list. It covers which one suits oily, acne-prone, combination and sensitive skin, how to use retinol without irritation, and why skipping a night cream usually makes oily skin shinier.

All four are in stock as this page is written. The rest of the night cream category leans towards brightening and anti-ageing creams, which are richer than most oily skin wants at night.
Does oily skin need a night cream at all?
Yes, but a light one. Oily skin still loses water overnight, and skin that is short of water often makes more oil to compensate. That is why people who skip moisturiser can wake up shinier, not less shiny.
What oily skin does not need is a thick, buttery cream built for dry skin. Look for these words on the pack:
- Gel or gel-cream texture, which sinks in within a minute.
- Oil-free and non-comedogenic, meaning it is formulated not to block pores.
- Niacinamide, which helps regulate oil over a few weeks of regular use.
- Hyaluronic acid for water-based hydration without grease.
Avoid heavy shea butter, mineral oil and coconut oil as the first ingredients if you break out easily.
Which one for your skin type
Oily and sensitive: CICA Calming Night Gel
Cica, also called centella, calms redness, and niacinamide steadies oil. There is no strong exfoliating acid in it, so it is the safest nightly choice when your skin stings easily or you are already using a strong acne treatment.
Oily with active pimples: Salicylic Night Gel
Salicylic acid dissolves the oil plug inside the pore, which is why it works on blackheads, whiteheads and small red bumps. At 1% it is milder than most salicylic face washes, and because it stays on the skin all night it has longer to work.
Oily with marks and rough texture: retinol
Retinol speeds up skin renewal, so acne marks fade faster and texture evens out. It also helps keep pores clear. The trade-off is an adjustment period of dryness or peeling in the first few weeks.
Combination skin: Retinol + Ceramide
If your T-zone is oily but your cheeks feel tight, you need something that repairs as well as treats. Ceramides rebuild the skin barrier while a low dose of retinol works on texture. The 15 ml pack is also a cheap way to find out whether your skin tolerates retinol before buying a larger tub.
The four, in detail
Dot & Key CICA Calming Skin Renewing Night Gel, 25 ml — ৳675
The first pick for most oily skin. An oil-free, non-greasy gel with cica, niacinamide and hyaluronic acid, sold specifically for oily, sensitive and acne-prone skin. Nothing in it is harsh, so it can be used every night from the first day. See the product page.
The Derma Co 1% Salicylic + Hyaluronic Night Repair Gel, 50 g — ৳1,190
For breakouts rather than general oiliness. Fragrance-free and non-comedogenic, with hyaluronic acid to offset the drying effect of the acid. It is the best value per gram of the four. Start every other night for the first week. See the product page.
RE’ EQUIL 0.3% Retinol Night Cream, 30 g — ৳799
Encapsulated retinol releases slowly, which is gentler than plain retinol at the same strength. It is sold for acne, texture and marks, and the texture is light enough for oily skin. Start twice a week and build up. See the product page.
Dot & Key Retinol + Ceramide Night Repair Cream, 15 ml — ৳459
The cheapest way into retinol on this list. Ceramides and niacinamide cushion the retinol, and the formula is lightweight and non-sticky. It is marketed at sensitive and mature skin, which makes it a sensible fit for combination skin rather than very oily skin. See the product page.
Night cream, sleeping mask or serum?
The three get sold side by side, and for oily skin the difference matters.
- Night cream or gel is the everyday last step. It seals in water and often carries a treatment active. This is what most oily skin needs.
- Sleeping masks are usually thicker, occlusive layers designed for dry or dull skin, used once or twice a week. On oily, acne-prone skin they tend to feel heavy and can clog pores, which is why none are on this list.
- Serums are thin, concentrated treatments that go on before the moisturiser. The Derma Co salicylic gel sits between a serum and a night cream, so on most nights it can be the only product you need after washing.
If your skin feels tight in the morning even with a gel, add a drop more product rather than switching to a rich cream.
How to use retinol and salicylic acid at night
- Start slow. Two or three nights a week for the first fortnight, then every other night, then nightly if your skin is comfortable.
- Use a pea-sized amount for the whole face, on dry skin, 10 to 20 minutes after washing.
- Do not stack them. Retinol and salicylic acid on the same night is the fastest route to peeling. Alternate nights if you want both.
- Keep away from the corners of the nose, the eyelids and the lips.
- Wear sunscreen every morning. Retinol and acids make skin more sensitive to sun, and acne marks darken with sun exposure.
- Skip retinol if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, and check with a doctor first.
A simple night routine for oily skin
- Wash with a gentle or salicylic cleanser. See the face wash for oily, acne-prone skin guide.
- Treat, optionally, with a serum such as niacinamide. The face serum guide covers the options. If you use a salicylic or retinol night cream, skip other acids that night.
- Moisturise with one of the four night creams above.
Three steps is enough. For daytime moisturisers by skin type, see the moisturizer guide, and for the morning sunscreen step, the sunscreen guide.
Frequently asked questions
Which night cream is best for oily skin in Bangladesh?
Dot & Key CICA Calming Night Gel at ৳675 for most people. It is oil-free, gentle enough for nightly use and made for oily, sensitive and acne-prone skin.
Which night cream is best for oily, acne-prone skin?
The Derma Co 1% Salicylic + Hyaluronic Night Repair Gel at ৳1,190 for active pimples. For acne marks and texture, RE’ EQUIL 0.3% Retinol Night Cream at ৳799.
What about combination skin?
Dot & Key Retinol + Ceramide Night Repair Cream at ৳459. The ceramides look after drier cheeks while the retinol works on the oily T-zone.
Is a night cream for sensitive oily skin different?
Choose one without strong actives. The CICA Calming Night Gel is the gentlest of the four. Introduce retinol only once your skin is settled.
Can I skip night cream if my skin is oily?
You can, but it often backfires. Dehydrated oily skin tends to produce more oil, and a light gel at night usually leaves skin less shiny by morning.
Can I use my day moisturiser at night?
Yes, if it is a light gel. Night creams differ mainly in carrying actives such as retinol that should not be used under daytime sun.
How long before a night cream shows results?
Hydration and less morning shine show within a week. Oil control from niacinamide takes about four weeks of nightly use, and retinol usually needs eight to twelve weeks to fade marks and smooth texture.
Are these products original?
Yes. Orpa imports them in sealed manufacturer packaging with the original label and batch code intact. Delivery is ৳70 inside Dhaka City in 1 to 3 days and ৳120 elsewhere in Bangladesh in 2 to 4 days, with cash on delivery nationwide.
