Is toner necessary?
No. It is a useful extra for hydration or gentle exfoliation, not a required step.
Which toner suits oily and acne-prone skin?
A BHA or AHA-BHA toner two or three nights a week, plus a hydrating toner on other days.
Should I use toner before or after serum?
Before. Order is wash, toner, serum, moisturizer, then sunscreen in the morning.
Do alcohol-based toners cause damage?
They can leave skin tight and dehydrated, which often means more oil later. Alcohol-free formulas are the safer default.
Can I use an exfoliating toner daily?
Most people should not. Two or three times a week is enough, and never on the same night as retinol.
