Across 1,192 products in stock in Bangladesh today, the median price is ৳1,890, and the market runs from ৳20 to ৳15,200. Split by type, the gap is the real story: the median supplement category costs ৳2,990 while the median skincare category costs ৳935. Supplements cost roughly 3.2 times what skincare costs here.
This page is a reference, not a sales page. It is rebuilt from live stock, so the numbers below are what these things actually cost in Bangladesh on the date shown — not list prices, not launch prices, and not prices from a year ago. Anyone is free to cite it.
Method, stated plainly
- Sample: 1,192 individual products, in stock and priced, at Orpa on 20 October 2026.
- What counts: the actual selling price in Bangladeshi taka, including discounts where a product is reduced. Out-of-stock products are excluded, because a price you cannot buy at is not a price.
- Categories shown: every category holding 8 or more in-stock products — 53 of them. Thinner categories are left out because a median of three items is not a market rate.
- Median, not average. One ৳15,200 item would drag an average upwards and tell you nothing. The median is what a typical product in that category costs.
What the numbers show
Supplements are a different market from skincare
Median across 33 supplement categories: ৳2,990. Median across 12 skincare categories: ৳935. That is not a small gap, and it holds across the whole table rather than coming from a few expensive outliers. Supplements here are almost entirely imported in sealed bottles from US brands, with no local manufacturing to anchor the low end — so the floor sits high.
Skincare has a genuine budget tier. Supplements do not.
You can enter skincare at almost any price: face masks start at ৳20, face wash at ৳80, hair care at ৳99, eye cream at ৳120, face serum at ৳130.
Supplements have no equivalent. The cheapest digestive support product in stock is ৳2,590, the cheapest L-arginine ৳2,490, the cheapest amino acid or fat burner ৳2,290. In those categories a budget option does not exist at any retailer — the product is imported or it is not available.
The widest and narrowest categories
Face masks span 109 times from cheapest to dearest (৳20 to ৳2,190) and derma rollers 63 times (৳190 to ৳11,999) — in both cases because one category holds two different kinds of object: a single-use sheet beside a jar treatment, a hand roller beside a motorised microneedling pen.
At the other end, amino acids and heart supplements vary only 1.8 times across every product in stock. Where the category is one well-defined thing, Bangladeshi prices are remarkably tight.

Limitations, honestly
This is one retailer’s catalogue, not a national statistical survey. It covers imported skincare, haircare and supplements sold online, so it says nothing about local brands sold in pharmacies and nothing about products Orpa does not carry. Where a category is thin the median moves easily, which is why nothing under 8 products is shown. Prices in Bangladesh move with the dollar rate and with import duty, so a figure here is a snapshot of one date, not a trend.
Within those limits it is real data: every number is a product someone could have bought on the day it was generated.
